NEW OWNERSHIP FOR PARMACOTTO: GIOVANNI ZACCANTI BECOMES MAJORITY SHAREHOLDER OF THE COMPANY FROM PARMA
The entrepreneur from Bologna, one of the founding partners of Saeco and Caffitaly, will be the Chairman of Parmacotto S.p.A., a renowned company of the Italian food sector, specifically in the production of Cooked Ham and Poultry products.
Marano (Parma), 15 March 2018 – Parmacotto Spa, one of the most famous Italian companies in the manufacturing and sale of whole and sliced deli meats , announced today at a press conference that Giovanni Zaccanti, the entrepreneur from Bologna co-founder of Saeco and Caffitaly, has acquired the control of the company.
With 58 million revenue in 2017 and 140 employees, Parmacotto has been active on the Italian market for 40 years, manufacturing and selling deli meats and related products through the Large Retailers and traditional ones. In the last two years, the ownership of the Company has gone to a group of company suppliers, following a significant reorganization plan focused on quality as guarantee of the products and based on the fame of the brand.
Giovanni Zaccanti, the company’s Chairman, stated: “The acquisition of Parmacotto is a new challenge for me. I have been working all my life in the coffee machines and capsules sector, but I didn’t hesitate to embark in this new adventure” – and he goes on to say – “As a company Parmacotto is on its way to become a solid business: in spite of global markets downturn and events occurred in recent years within the company, it nevertheless succeeded in growing and performing at an excellent level”.

Experts from RTZ and RTZ Legal, coordinated by Mr.Lorenzo Rutigliano, assisted the new ownership in writing the agreements with the sellers.
